fawm
So I’m starting FAWM tomorrow. I decided not to clutter my posterous with all the FAWMish antics of this next month, so I decided to start a little record here: http://www.cutthenoise.com. Check it out throughout the month if you so fancy. (The link explains what FAWM is as well.) Posted via email from ben’s posterous | Comment »

Whew, finished my novel (yeah that's right)
Well, I just finished my novel tonight, with 50,096 words. Whether or not I’ll revisit and do any editing on it for later I have no idea, but I’m really excited that I managed to win this year. =) Now I just have to think about what I want to write about for next year… Who wants to join me for NaNoWriMo 2010? Oct. + Nov. Lowe Wrap-up
(Note: This is my (Ben) first post on our combined blog. Cheryl has been getting after me to get something on it, so I decided to connect it with my posterous blog and thus share a few things from time to time. Sorry for the delay.) So I thought I would share a bit. The last few months have been a little crazy. The dust is finally starting to settle though, just in time for the busy holidays! In...

Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost For His Highest":...
“All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.” Matthew 28:18-20 The basis of missionary appeals is the authority of Jesus Christ, not the needs of the heathen. We are apt to look upon Our Lord as One Who assists us in our enterprises for God. Our Lord puts Himself as the absolute sovereign supreme Lord over His disciples. He does not...
What kind of novel should I write?
National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo) is coming up in November. I tried last year and made it to about 25,000 words (out of 50,000 to finish) before I stopped. I’d like to try again this year, which I realize may be a little crazy with this next stage of my life so rapidly approaching, but I’m gonna at least see if its possible. Last year I wrote a rather sad attempt at a...

Download now or listen on posterous 05 Flesh Thang.m4a (5149 KB) Recently the Lord has been teaching me much of His desire for me to live and walk in the Spirit. Milk tea and taro milk tea
If you have not yet had Bubble Tea, it is a very unique and fun drink. The “tapioca pearls” are a love it or hate it kind of thing, but everyone should at least give it a try once. Great place called Short and Sweet off Lamar in the Chinatown center. Posted via email from Ben’s Email Blog | Comment »
Just found 3 balls and a bone under the couch...
Only took the dog whining incessantly, sniffing furiously, and pushing her nose under the front and backside of the couch for several minutes before I finally broke down to see what the fuss was all about. Making the best of a bad situation
Well, it doesn’t look like we are going to get the bus fixed very soon, so we decided to take as many people as we could in the van and truck down to camp. (It just happened to be all the girls.) So in the meantime the guys are hanging out at a little country store playing cards. We’re about two hours from camp, so if the vehicles make good time the guys will make it in on the second...

Stressed out...preparing for another camp.
HEB camp is coming up on June 28-July 2. There is a TON still to do: signing up campers, getting paperwork filled out and turned in for the leadership, buying food, arranging the transportation, and of course making all those things work together as a cohesive whole… The Lord is so faithful, and He has already shown his providence in many ways. I know He is in control. Here are some pics...

Nikos '09 Day 3
I can’t believe it is already day 3! The days go by so quickly. Traditionally today can be a very hard one with tired leaders and campers both. Pray for rest for the campers and leaders, and that we would all call upon the Lord to be our strength. Right now it looks like a storm may be rolling in. Pray for safety for the campers and clear decision making from camp staff. See and...
